“The motel is straight out of the 60s and has not seen much change, but is clean and reasonably quiet. Had a ground floor room and only drawback is that parking spaces are not allocated to the room, so first in best dressed is the policy. So get there early for a good spot or you could be carrying gear a little way. Also you have to drive in and reverse out as there is no turn around space in car park. Centrally located and Macs Hotel close by for food and drinks and other city locations a short walk away. Overall, clean and tidy and suits the price”
“Value for money. While some budget motels can be a bad experience, we found this motel clean, quiet (if nobody is outside) very well situated and had all the necessary inventory to put together a breakfast or light meal with fridge, microwave, toaster and jug as well as bowls and basic cutlery. Drakes Supermarket just 100 metres away, open at 7am so it was easy to grab a few breakfast items. Mac's Hotel is also very handy if you fancy a decent pub meal. We could of been lucky the night we were there as it was very quiet. It is not next to a busy road. The door was not an exterior door (is that even legal?) so it could cause problems if there was noise outside. The bed linen had that nice fresh smell. I've paid way more and gotten less so if your not fussy about dated fittings etc then I would recommend it for a night or maybe 2.”
